Serving on the PACE Committee is an invitation to lead.&nbsp;Membership on the committee is an opportunity to learn and contribute to the political work that advances the interests of educators, students, public education, and organized labor. The first PACE Committee meeting is September 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participate in political discussions, trainings, and educational opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop an understanding of the institutions, policies, and elected bodies that impact public education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay informed on key issues affecting educators, students, and UTLA&nbsp;members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CANDIDATE ENDORSEMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review candidate materials and questionnaires.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in candidate interviews and endorsement discussions when during the election cycle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help evaluate candidates based on UTLA&#8217;s We have people power.
