10.28.22 Read Time: 1 min Baldwin Hills Elementary Fights Co-Location The Baldwin Hills Elementary community continues to protest co-location with the New LA Elementary charter school, citing the drain on resources for Baldwin Hills Elementary students and educators. Last week parents, educators, and community members took to the sidewalks, calling for the privately-run charter school to be relocated off of public school property. Parents expressed to ABC 7 News their frustration with their children losing learning and play spaces to the charter school alongside cuts to staff and programs that are essential to students’ development. Parents have sent a letter to the district demanding the charter school be relocated.
