Rocío supports improving teacher pay to attract and retain the best teachers, and then reduce class sizes so they can give students more individual attention. She knows that every student in L.A. should have the resources and opportunities to succeed, regardless of their neighborhood, income, background, or family circumstances.

That’s why Rocío is working to increase career training, apprenticeships, and partnerships with local colleges, so every student is prepared for the future that fits them best. Rocío is also helping to bring greater accountability and transparency on our school board. She is pushing for stricter oversight of district contracts and ensure funding makes it directly into the classroom.
