The UNITED TEACHER actively seeks contributions from members, students, parents, and the community on topics connected to racial, social, and educational justice. Guidelines for submitting content:

• Word count: Submissions may vary in length depending on the topic, but the suggested word count is between 200 and 700 words. Photos are encouraged. 
• Content types: Thought-leadership pieces, profiles, interviews, obituaries, and news stories are all accepted.
• Review process: All submissions are subject to editing and review, and not all submissions will be used. If your submission is selected for publication, we will contact you before posting or publishing.
• Rights and permissions: By submitting your content to the UNITED TEACHER, you grant us the right to publish and distribute your work both in print and digital formats. However, the copyright remains with the author.
