LSLC 101: Building an Effective Local School Leadership Council
This introductory workshop provides UTLA leaders with the foundational knowledge needed to establish and operate an effective Local School Leadership Council (LSLC). Participants will explore the purpose and structure of an LSLC, how to form one, the scope of its decision-making authority, and strategies for ensuring that council decisions are implemented. The workshop will also provide practical next steps to help leaders establish and prepare their LSLC for a successful start to the school year.
This workshop is designed for UTLA leaders who are new to LSLCs or need a refresher on the fundamentals. It is also a required component of the salary point class.
