Trump and Musk are threatening to steal $1.2 billion in funding from LAUSD — money allocated for student meals and special education services. We will fight this threat, but to be clear, LAUSD has a $6.4 billion budget reserve. We will also fight LAUSD if they attempt to hide behind Trump as an excuse to continue underpaying educators and underfunding student needs. This is a demonstration of power to Trump, Musk, and LAUSD. It is a warning of the fight we will wage for our students, whether against the district or the administration.
