11.18.22 Read Time: 1 min New Educators: Apply to Become an Early Leadership Institute Fellow UTLA is launching an Early Leadership Institute for New Educators, developed by the National Education Association to identify and support emerging leaders. Participants will examine ways to improve teacher retention during a six-month fellowship with an experienced UTLA coach. Participation involves meeting every few weeks, interviewing other new educators, and helping to develop an action plan to address teacher retention. Fellows receive additional leadership opportunities and a $250 stipend upon completion of the program. The ELI Program kicks off on December 9 at 5 pm and an all-day session on December 10.
