Ready To Win With Dr. Rocío Rivas In BD-2

We are excited to build up our mobilizing to elect Dr. Rocío Rivas to the School Board. It’s our time to win this important seat that has long been held by School Board Member Monica Garcia. The School Board has the power to decide our healthcare, class sizes, our pay and nearly every part of our school experience. We need more bold, pro-public-school champions on the School Board that will work with us to win our Beyond Recovery platform.  Dr. Rocío Rivas is an LAUSD alumna, is the parent of an LAUSD Student and has spent her career advocating for teachers, parents, students, and the entire public school system. She has walked the line with UTLA educators and community during the 2019 Strike. We know that she will fight for us on the Board.
 
Dr. Rocí o Rivas came in first during the June primaries because voters back our vision for well-resourced, green community schools. We won’t take this lead for granted; we are going to organize even harder to elect Dr. Rocío Rivas to the School Board. We will win this election by talking to our neighbors directly and urging them to vote for Rocío Rivas.  We will be going on weekend canvasses to build power all the way through election day. When we organize, we win. We look forward to electing Dr. Rocío Rivas to the School Board.
