An award-winning, nationally recognized network affiliate of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards that assists UTLA members in pursuing or renewing their National Board Certification, a prestigious and voluntary system to assess and certify accomplished teachers. ISCA Transitions to UTLA Lesson Design Study Project

Update: Now continuing in a smaller form, ISCA is developing a 3-salary point UTLA Lesson Design Study course open to all members for a nominal fee, led by Day Higuchi, past ISCA Associate Director and former UTLA President.

LAUSD/UTLA Peer Assistance and Review Program

A joint effort between UTLA and LAUSD offering free professional development workshops and confidential one-on-one instructional support for educators. Workshop hours count toward salary point credit.
