Per the district’s memo from November 2023, the i-Ready personalized instruction plans are not mandated by the district, and educators have the option to use a method of our choice to show student progress when engaging in the PDSA cycles.
On page 1, the memo states that i-Ready “Personalized Instruction may be used as a complement to teacher-led instruction, providing tailored instruction and practice in target skills and/or by addressing specific standards for individual students. Personalized Instruction is not a substitute for teacher-led whole class instruction, nor is it intended to replace direct instruction using the District-adopted curriculum.”
If you are mandating the use of the i-Ready personalized instruction plans, please provide that directive in writing.
