About the Program

Think Equal is a globally recognized, research-based social-emotional learning (SEL) program implemented in over 30 countries. It is designed specifically for early childhood learners and focuses on building:

  • Emotional intelligence 
  • Empathy and kindness 
  • Self-regulation 
  • Cooperation and social awareness 

The program integrates evidence-based practices and is designed to be delivered three times per week for 30 minutesthroughout the school year. 

Participants receive full curriculum materials and leave equipped to immediately begin implementation.


Application Overview

This application serves two distinct purposes:

Trainer-of-Trainers Cohort (Selective)

To identify a small group of highly qualified educators to attend the FEPL Trainer-of-Trainers Session (July 30–31) and become certified trainers for the upcoming Think Equal salary point class.

General Participant Training (Open Access)

To identify educators interested in attending the Think Equal Module Training (August 1) and implementing the program in their classrooms.


Required Criteria (Non-Negotiables)

Trainer-of-Trainers Cohort (July 30–31)

Applicants must meet all of the following:

  • Current Early Childhood Education (ECE), TK, or Preschool educator 
  • National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) 
  • Teaching 4-year-old students (preferred priority group) 
  • Demonstrated experience in training, facilitation, or leading adult learning 
  • Availability for:
    • July 30–31, 2026 (Trainer-of-Trainers) 
    • August 1, 2026 (Module Training) 
  • Willingness to:
    • Support development of a Think Equal salary point class 
    • Facilitate training sessions for other educators 
    • Serve as a local resource and implementation leader 

General Participant Training (August 1)

Applicants must:

  • Be an EEC, TK, or Preschool educator 
  • Be interested in implementing Think Equal in their classroom 
  • Commit to delivering the program:
    • 3 times per week, 30 minutes per session 
  • Attend the August 1 training session
