01.27.23 Read Time: 5 min Sticker up for Solidarity We must win all of our Beyond Recovery demands this school year. And we can. With nearly $5 billion sitting in LAUSD’s projected reserves and the governor proposing another record investment in public schools, Carvalho has no excuse not to invest right now in the critical needs of educators, our students, and school communities. On January 24, UTLA educators all over the district stickered up to show their commitment to winning the full Beyond Recovery platform. Let’s get ready to show Carvalho on March 15 that we are united and we are not backing down. Students deserve fully staffed and resourced schools NOW. Educators deserve fair pay NOW. The district has the money but instead wants to engage in a power struggle with educators who are in the classroom working with students every day. UTLA educators are ready to fight for the public school system we deserve.
