Last week, UTLA officers and political organizers invited state and federal legislators to a briefing on the pillars of our Beyond Recovery platform that we fought for and won in our tentative agreement. The high attendance of legislative staff from Congress, the State House and Senate, and the State Superintendent’s office is a testament to the power we are building.

UTLA officers highlighted the collaboration between educators, students, families, and community that went into the development of our Beyond Recovery platform and how our wins in the tentative agreement address educator working conditions as student learning conditions.

With our collective power as educators in California’s largest school district, we can win a strong future for public schools.
