11.04.22 Read Time: 1 min Co-Location is Draining Resources at Community Schools Parents, educators, and community leaders rallied outside LAUSD headquarters Tuesday to demand an end to charter co-location at Trinity and Baldwin Hills Elementary Schools. Students at Trinity and Baldwin Hills are missing out on the full benefits that should come with Community School designation because they are forced to share learning and play space with privately-run charter schools. Programs that are essential to student development have been cut for lack of space and staffing, including special education classes. UTLA members also testified on the impact of co-location for students and educators during Tuesday’s LAUSD Board meeting.
